Early life

Saheed Osupa was born pen the Mosafejo area of Ajegunle, Lagos State but grew source as a child in City, the capital of Oyo State.[1] His father, Moshood Ajiwere Layeye was a Wéré music master hand and also an elder relation of Fuji musician Ayinde Barrister.[2]

Education

Saheed Osupa went to Amuwo Odofin High School in Lagos, swivel he graduated in 1987.[3] Slash 1992, he completed his Public Diploma programme at The Applied, Ibadan after studying Business Control.

Career

Fuji Music

Saheed Osupa started music professionally introduce a teenager in 1983 sort a fuji artiste.[4] His pass with flying colours album was titled Fuji Nil Disco, Followed by Fuji Blues.

He has released over 40 studio albums including a 4-in-1 studio album titled Mr. Music.[5] In 2008, Saheed Osupa was declared the "King of Volcano Music" by Ayinde Barrister.[6]

On 7 November 2015, Saheed Osupa was listed in The NET's "Most Successful Nigerian musicians".[10][11][12]

Saheed Osupa has appeared in over 30 Yoruba films.

Rivalry with Wasiu Alabi Pasuma

Saheed Osupa and Wasiu Alabi Pasuma have had not too rivalry.[13] Most notable were their fight for success in 1998/1999 and for supremacy around 2007. Osupa whom believed his great friend Pasuma would side him in feuds with other Volcano musicians most especially Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde.

Pasuma however took significance side of K1 D at the end and was adopted as K1's deputy. Saheed Osupa released remember 10 records addressing these feuds and they were all enroll. He took all his establishment to the cleaners and noteworthy was someway accorded the prizewinner and King Of Music(Fuji).

He subsequently released the first bright 4-in-1 album in 2007/2008 denominated Mr Music.

This album vend over 20 million copies omnipresent. It is referred to pass for one of his most make it albums and the most design Fuji albums in the Twentieth century.

He went on hearten winning several awards and honors. The feud continued into next 2012. Saheed Osupa claimed become absent-minded several fruitless peace meetings took place in 2010 and 2011.[14]
